Dr. Joseph A Pippa Jr.

Dr. Joseph A. Pipa, Jr. is a respected Presbyterian pastor, theologian, seminary professor, and author, widely known in Reformed and confessional Presbyterian circles for his deep commitment to historic Reformed theology and faithful gospel proclamation.

Dr. Pipa earned his B.A. from Belhaven College, his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary. He also holds a Doctor of Divinity degree from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (GPTS). Over his ministry and academic career he has served in pastoral roles, taught theology at the graduate level, and contributed extensively to Reformed scholarship.

He has pastored congregations in Mississippi, Texas, California, and South Carolina, and served for many years as a professor and the first President of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Taylors, South Carolina. Today he holds the title President Emeritus and continues to teach systematic and applied theology. He also ministers as co-pastor of Antioch Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Woodruff, South Carolina.

Dr. Pipa is the author and editor of numerous books and articles, including The Lord’s Day, Root and Branch, Galatians: God’s Proclamation of Liberty, and The Westminster Confession of Faith Study Book, and is a frequent contributor to venues such as Tabletalk magazine and Reformed teaching ministries.

Known for his clear, biblical teaching and pastoral heart, Dr. Pipa brings a wealth of theological insight and practical wisdom to his speaking engagements — equipping listeners to think deeply about Scripture, doctrine, worship, and the life of the church.
