Chapters 3, 4, and 5 of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith explains that God displays his glory in his decrees, his creation, and in his works of providence. The 2010 Deep South Founders Conference met to fathom “the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God… for of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever.” (Romans 11:33-36)
In three powerful sermons, our keynote speaker, Dr. Steve Lawson, traced out God’s providence for his glory alone, worked out through his church, and displayed to the world. Mike Gaydosh focused on God’s glory in creation, while Bryan Whittington, James Clardy, Rodney Sanders, and Yogi Taylor preached on God’s decrees.
